perform ELVIS, The Gospel Collection
-One Concert Only-
August 16th 2017 marks the 40th anniversary of the passing of undoubtedly, one of the world’s greatest singers, Elvis Presley. At the tender age of only 42, Elvis passed away leaving behind him a legacy that continues to grow, entertain and inspire for generations to come.
One of his great admirers and fans, Damien Leith will remember the spirit of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll with one very special concert, performing his Gospel collection.
Elvis won 3 Grammy awards in his lifetime, all for his soulful gospel renditions – songs like ‘How Great Thou Art’, ‘You Saw Me Crying in the Chapel’, ‘Peace in the Valley’, ‘Amazing Grace’, ‘Glory Glory Hallelujah’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ transcended all genres of music and have become musical classics.
This is the first time that Damien has dedicated an entire show to Gospel classics and to make this occasion even more special, he is only performing one concert in Australia to take place at The Arts Centre Playhouse in Melbourne on the anniversary of Elvis’s passing, Wednesday 16th August 2017. Given his stunning angelic voice and his reputation as an engaging entertainer, this show is certain to be a sell-out and will also feature some very special guests.
“On an occasion such as this (the anniversary of Elvis’s passing) It feels really fitting to celebrate Elvis’s life through one of his great loves, Gospel music.”
